Athan Everywhere ("the app") is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the app uses and how.
The app uses your device location to calculate accurate prayer times and the Qibla direction for your position. When you are online, your coordinates are sent to the Aladhan prayer-time service (aladhan.com) solely to retrieve prayer times. When you are offline, prayer times are calculated entirely on your device and no location data leaves the phone.
Your location is not linked to your identity, is not used for advertising or tracking, and is not shared with anyone other than the prayer-time service described above.
The app does not require an account. It contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking technologies. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, or usage profile.
Prayer schedules, your last known location, and your settings are stored locally on your device (shared with the app's widgets and Apple Watch app) so the app works offline. This data never leaves your device except as described under "Location" above.
The app schedules local notifications on your device to alert you at prayer times. These are generated on-device and are not sent through any server.
The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
